SUSTAINING THE CULTURAL AND TOURISM POTENTIALS OF CROSS RIVER STATE IS AN UP-HILL TASK, IT SHOULD BE A COLLECTIVE EFFORT BETWEEN THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.Tourism in africa has gained international recognition and we presently bench mark ourselves with countries all over the world like washington, trinidad and tobago to name a few....there is alot to be done in this sector, there is need for our brothers in the diaspora to re.unite with this drive and also make gainful contributions to propel our aspirations in the sector... i will never rest on my oars.

WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD FOR AFRICAN TOURISM....that was my greatest concern as a stake holder in the tourism sector.
IT WAS A CONFERENCE CONCEPTUALIZED BY THE FEDERAL MINISTRY FOR CULTURE, TOURISM AND NATIONAL ORIENTATION IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CENTRE FOR BLACK AFRICAN CULTURE AND CIVILIZATION.
HIS EXCELLENCY SENATOR LIYEL IMOKE, GOVERNOR OF CROSS RIVER STATE HAS CONSISTENTLY BEEN A FORCE IN PROPRLLING TOURISM TO A HEIGHTENED STATUS OF RECOGNITION BY THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY. THE EVIDENT CONTRIBUTIONS OF HIGH CHIEF EDEM DUKE, HON. MINISTER FOR TOURISM, CULTURE AND NATIONAL ORIEBTATION CANNOT BE OVER EMPHASIZED. WOFAI SAMUEL, KEEPING IT REAL IN TOURISM AND CULTURE AS A BRAND MEDIA AMBASSADOR FOR CROSS RIVER STATE.
