Nigeria
as an economic/cultural giant with a dynamic population plays a
critical role in Africa, thus awakened interest from the United States
Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations to support it's peace
and prosperity. Essential to this is the
stability of the resource rich Niger Delta, an economic engine of the
country but a region prone to violence, hence the conceptualization of
"Dawn in the Creeks", a Jeta Amata's Think. This is simply a centre
piece showing the wider Niger Delta and it's positive sides. The forum
had the who is who in Nigerian media well represented and a very dicy
question from TV Personality, Wofai Samuel was thrown at Jeta Amata. Not
content with the answers from the film maker, Wofai further raised a
bit of an argument and this time, the microphone was passed to the U.S
Consulate General. Yeah the President is from Niger Delta, yeah at his
last meeting with President Barack Obama, He clearly stated that He
would have to change Africa if he wanted to change the world and that
He'd have to change Nigeria as the giant of Africa if he wanted to
change Africa, this keeps me thinking, do we also have to change the
niger delta first if we must effect a change in nigeria? All of these
and more on E-Extra today, showing at 12 noon on NIGEZIE TV. Channel 143
on startimes. Have a fab weekend fellas! Peace!!!
